Bilbao 360 Degrees

Description:

A trip for outdoor people that love the city!
This trip explores the different hills around the town of Bilbao combined with cultural visits and delightful culinary experiences.

The Basque people are very passioned about their mountains, the sea, their culture and their food and quite rightly so! This little, big country has got it all with quality! The city of Bilbao and its surroundings represent all these beautiful attributes of The Basque Country on a small scale. The Bilbainas love their mountains and for many of them this is where their passion for hillwalking, climbing and ski touring began.
During our trip we will ascend a different hill each day with different views and perspectives on the city, the sea and the landscape around. This will be either in the morning or in the afternoon.

The other half of the day will be cultural with the following visits, a Bilbao city tour including the famous Guggenheim museum and the Puente Colgante, a visit to the Museum the La Paz in Gernika, a visit to the Txakoli (the traditional Basque white wine) museum and Bodega in Bakio, a visit to the spectacular monastry of Gaztelugatxe and a visit to the nature reserve of Urdubai and the Torre Madariaga (the centre of biodiversity of the Basque Country).

During lunchtime and evening we will enjoy the delicious Pintxos (the tapas of Euskalleria) and the top class Basque kitchen accompanied by gorgeous wines and cider.
If you are still feeling up it for it after dinner, you can opt for the opera or theater at night or just go for a classic (not to miss) poteo en el Casco Viejo.
